On 28th February 2019, I attended the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) Conference in Melbourne. Polio Australia was lucky enough to win a free day-pass from The Xfactor Collective and unfortunately our Finance Manager, Bonnie, was unable to attend. The day was focused around all-things fundraising, and although most of the presentations were by much larger organisations that Polio Australia, it was still clear to see there is a lot of work to be done by us! The knowledge that I have learnt about fundraising, will hopefully propel Polio Australia to secure more regular donors and corporate partners. Ultimately, more donations and partnerships, will allow Polio Australia to support more polio survivors living in Australia.
