Plea for support for polio survivors from former Hunter region Senator – ABC NEWS
The Newcastle-based President of Polio Australia is travelling to Canberra next week to highlight the lack of support being given to thousands of Australia polio survivors.
John Tierney, a former Liberal Senator who contracted polio at birth, says although thousands died there are 400,000 Australian survivors still suffering the effects.
